01 What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your browser when you visit. They allow the site to recognise you on return visits and remember things like your basket, login state and preferences.
Some cookies expire when you close your browser (session cookies); others remain for a defined period (persistent cookies).
02 How we use them
We classify the cookies on beyondexpression.in into four groups. Only the “Strictly necessary” group is enabled by default — the rest require your consent through our cookie banner.
03 Strictly necessary
These cookies make the site work. Without them, features like sign-in, the cart and checkout would fail. They cannot be turned off.
- be_session — keeps you signed in (session).
- be_cart — remembers basket contents (30 days).
- ci_csrf — protects forms from cross-site request forgery (session).
04 Performance
Anonymous, aggregated metrics that help us understand which pages perform well and where to improve.
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 (24 months).
- be_pages — first-party page-view counter (12 months).
05 Functional
Optional cookies that remember your choices and personalise the experience.
- be_wishlist — persists your wishlist across visits (90 days).
- be_locale — remembers your preferred currency and city (180 days).
- be_recent — recently-viewed pieces strip (30 days).
Only the essentials are on by default — you decide the rest.
06 Marketing
Set when you opt in — help us show you relevant Beyond Expression collections elsewhere on the web.
- _fbp — Meta advertising pixel (90 days).
- _gcl_au — Google Ads conversion tracking (90 days).
07 Third-party services
A few embedded services may set their own cookies when you interact with them — for example payment gateways at checkout, YouTube on product pages and your map of choice on the contact page. We do not control these cookies; their providers’ own policies apply.
08 Managing cookies
You’re always in control:
- Use the cookie banner the first time you visit (or open Cookie Preferences from the footer anytime).
- Configure your browser to block or delete cookies — instructions are on every major browser’s help site.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the official opt-out add-on.
09 Updates
If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones we’ll update this page and (where appropriate) re-prompt you for consent. For full data-handling detail see our Privacy Policy.
